Also known as Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi Temple, is a temple of Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha Rani. Located at Hare Krishna Hills, East of Kailash near Nehru Place, New Delhi, this Temple was inaugurated in 1998 by the then Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
ISKCON stands for “International Society for Krishna Consciousness” which was founded by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 1966 in New York City. The Movement took off and within a few decades, 108 ISKCON temples were built across the world. ISKCON Temple is designed and built by Shri Achyut Kanvinde, an Indian Architect, who earned his title of Padma Shri in 1974.
There is a Vedic Cultural Centre in the premises, with attractions such as animatronics, art galleries etc. The cultural centre is also home to the largest printed version of the Bhagavad Gita.
The temple also consists of an in-house restaurant – Govinda’s, which serves pure vegetarian (Satvik) food without use of onion and garlic in any of its preparations.
