Dadi (grandmother) and Poti (granddaughter) Tomb is situated near Hauz Khas Village in South Delhi. It’s not sure whether the tombs actually belong to some grandmother and her granddaughter or just named so to identify the large and the small structure built side by side.
Both the Tombs belong to different period – Dadi’s tomb (the larger one) belong to Lodhi era (1451-1526 AD) and the Poti’s tomb (the smaller one) belongs to Tughlaq era (1321-1414 AD). It’s a mystery why these two different structures, belonging to different era, constructed side by side and whose remains buried here.
During my visit to the tombs, I found the place very peaceful and the garden was also well maintained.
