Named after the first Prime Minister of India Shri Jawaharlal Nehru, foundation Stone of Nehru Park was laid by Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, the second Prime Minister of India, in the year 1965. Situated at Chanakyapuri Diplomatic Enclave of New Delhi, this sprawling park is spread over about 80 acres of land. One of the leading green areas of Delhi, this is a beautiful place to hang out, especially during sunny winter afternoons in Delhi.

In picture is the life-size alloy statue of Vladimir Lenin, the leader of the Great October Socialist Revolution of Russia. The statue was unveiled by then Soviet Premier Nikolai Ryzhkov and the then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on 1st November, 1987 during the 70th Anniversary of the Socialist Revolution.
